The locally owned and operated Trader Vic’s restaurant and Tiki Lounge has created a Portland cocktail made from Oregon products. Named the “PDX Cranberry Cooler,” this cocktail was created by the mixologists at Trader Vic’s. It consists of Clear Creek Distillery’s “Oregon Cranberry Liqueur” and includes light rum, orange curacao, lime juice and is garnished with a sprig of mint, mandarin orange and a sugar coated cranberry.
“Oregon is the fourth largest producer of cranberries in the nation, and we thought this beautiful, light, refreshing cocktail would be a nice complement to our traditional Mai Tai,” explains Sage Gripekoven, general manager of Trader Vic’s Portland. “It’s also a perfect red for Valentine’s Day celebrations.” The price is $6 during Happy Hour daily at 4pm and $9 regularly.
Trader Vic’s Chef Bill Hussey has created a gourmet menu for this special day.
