Join the global celebration of the Mai Tai created in 1944 by the founder of Trader Vic’s, Vic Bergeron. It’s on Friday, September 26 at Trader Vic’s. Doors open at 4pm with a Mai Tai making class every hour on the hour until 9 pm, with a commemorative glass to take home for the class attendees. The Mai Tai Toast will start in the East, working around the globe in time zones with Portland celebrating at 9 pm.

The Dave Calhoun Band playing Jimmy Buffet songs will be on hand to make the evening a party. Come by for our tropical craft cocktails and enjoy our famous finger food from the pu pus menu. Friday, August 22 from 6-9 pm.
Trader Vic’s Portland is participating with an art exhibit in First Thursday, an art event dedicated to art around the city.
Stop in to Trader Vic’s on August 7th to meet artist Hazel Schlesinger, a talented mother from the Oregon Coast who is dedicated to landscape and architectural painting. Original paintings, as well as prints of varying sizes and prices will be available for purchase.

As part of the evening’s festivities, guests will have the first chance to purchase this year’s Trader Vic’s Portland super-signature Tiki Mug to celebrate. Customers will have the opportunity to chat will Paul Nielsen, Munktiki founder and creator of the Trader Vic’s Portland annual signature tiki mugs. Paul will even sign your new collector’s item.
A limited number of this year’s super-signature mugs will be made. The mugs will be available to purchase for $100 during the event and are expected to go quickly. It’s all in celebration of our anniversary!
